Sidebar revision

I noticed that the sidebar points to the mailing lists, which are deprecated. Now, the sidebar instead links to the Dreamwidth Communities page. There are probably a few more changes that should be made to the sidebar, to reflect the wiki's update place.

May I respectfully request that Compatible Clients go into the sidebar as well? Sometimes new users look for those as well.

I just got an message from somebody who spotted my comment on Aaron Aseigo's blog about Kblogger working with Dreamwidth and he asked how I got it working. I know I got it working thanks to the wiki, but dang, it was hard finding that age again.

I added it to the front page--is that good? Or should it really be in the sidebar?

Maybe the front page is ok - I wonder though, if a page or something else might be good for new members to be directed to that has all useful info, like compatible clients, useful communities...stuff like that.

Just bubbles floating out of my head at the moment.

I like the idea of this page! Kind of a New User's Guide? Maybe I should post a new project, and you can take it up if it calls to you?
